Superstar Salman Khan, who was last seen in Race 3 (2018), has been working really hard on his next film Bharat. Also starring Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff among others, the movie is being helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar who has previously directed Khan on Sultan (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017). The entire team has been shooting for the film across various locations ever since it mounted the floor and now it is ready to move into its final schedule post-Diwali. Before that, a short schedule will be wrapped up in Mumbai this weekend, which will feature Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Disha Patani.
As we all know that Bharat is a film which spans across many decades. It begins in the 1940s and ends in the current time. After completing long shooting schedules in Malta and Abu Dhabi, the team is now gearing up to commence yet another long outdoor schedule in early November during which the partition sequences will be filmed. Apart from Salman and Katrina, actor Jackie Shroff, who plays the former’s father, will also be a part of this schedule.
When Ali was asked about the same, he said, “Yes, the most important schedule of Bharat will begin next month. We will have lengthy sequences set against the backdrop of the partition and refugee camps from those traumatic times will be recreated in Punjab. We will also be shooting in Delhi inside many historical buildings. This part of the shoot unravels between the 1960s and the 90s period before the film moves into more contemporary times.”
Produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Bhushan Kumar, Bharat is an official remake of South Korean film Ode To My Father (2014). It is scheduled to hit the big screen on Eid, next year.
