Last seen together in renowned filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s 2015 movie Tamasha, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor are rumoured to be reteaming once again. Both the actors have worked together in three films so far – Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) and Tamasha (2015) – and now reports are coming in that they are set to join forces for their fourth outing.
A leading daily reports that Ranbir and Deepika might come together for Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018) fame director Luv Ranjan’s next movie. The said film also has Ajay Devgn and Tabu playing lead roles. Spilling some details on the development, a source close to the development reveals, “Deepika has just heard the synopsis. Nothing has been finalised yet. But it is an exciting project and just the fact that she has shown interest is a good sign.”
Well, we are already excited to see the ex-flames sharing the silver screen once again because whenever they have teamed up in the past, they have set the celluloid on fire with their crackling chemistry.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is gearing up to begin work on her next project. To be helmed by Raazi (2018) fame Meghna Gulzar, the yet-to-be-titled movie is based on the life of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. Apart from playing the main lead, Padukone will also produce the film. The project is set to begin production in February next year.
Ranbir Kapoor, on the other hand, is presently shooting for Dharma Productions’ Ayan Mukerji-directed film Brahmastra which also boasts the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy in principal roles. After wrapping up Brahmastra, the actor will move on to commence Yash Raj Films’ Shamshera which also has Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles. The film will be directed by Karan Malhotra of Agneepath (2012) and Brothers (2015) fame.
