Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who entered Bollywood with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year in 2012, wants his mentor to cast him and his first co-star Alia Bhatt together in a film once again. The actor admits that a lot of people have asked him to reunite with Bhatt.
“People keep telling us that we should do a film together. But let’s see. It’s a matter of us getting the right script and a director like Karan Johar. Because only he can manage that. But now he’s doing Takht. Everyone is busy with their own journeys,” said Sidharth.
Recently, there were a lot of rumours about his growing closeness with actress Kiara Advani. When Malhotra was asked about how he reacts to such link-up rumours, he said, “This used to surprise me when I joined the industry. It surprises me less now. There’s now an understanding of how the media works, how you need to fill space, how some people give out stories and influence things, a lot of things happen. I’m amused by the stories. I find them creative. But if a friendly gesture or meeting someone at a party and having a normal conversation is perceived differently, it adds pressure in your personal life”.
Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra is currently shooting for his next film, Jabariya Jodi, which also stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead role. It’s being produced by Ekta Kapoor and is set to hit screens next year. After wrapping up Jabariya Jodi in the next couple of months, the actor will move on to shoot Shershah, a biopic of Captain Vikram Batra. Shershah is a Dharma Productions’ offering.
