Celebrated filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s forthcoming directorial Zero is one of the hotly anticipated movies of the year. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in principal roles, the film has been in the news right from the day it was officially announced in 2017. The flick is yet to hit the silver screen in December this year, but if fresh reports are to be believed, Aanand L Rai and Shah Rukh Khan might join forces once again after the release of Zero.
One of the leading dailies reports that the two creative forces are expected to work together on a number of projects over the course of the next five years. “Aanand became very close to Shah Rukh Khan while directing him in Zero. Now, the two of them are ready to put their heads together to produce a slew of projects. Shah Rukh loves the kind of films that Aanand has been producing, including Newton (2017), Mukkabaaz (2018), Shubh Mangal Savdhan (2017) and Manmarziyan (2018), and he is ready to take their partnership to the next level.”
Zero, which features Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, will roll into cinemas on 21st December 2018. The buzz around the movie is quite high among the audience and if the same translates into footfalls, Zero might pull in over Rs. 300 crores at the domestic box-office.
After Zero, SRK is expected to work on the much-talked-about sci-fi film Salute, to be produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur. The film is a biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian man to set his foot on the moon. Earlier, Aamir Khan was supposed to play the male lead in Salute, but he reportedly opted out due to creative differences.
