Priyanka Chopra is undoubtedly in the best phase of her professional as well as personal life. After making her name a global phenomenon with the super success of American TV series Quantico, she recently announced her relationship with pop singer Nick Jonas with a roka ceremony, which took place on August 18 in Mumbai. She chimed in Jonas’ 26th birthday at a baseball match recently. And now we hear that Priyanka Chopra, the talented actress, is set to head off to London in early October to resume shooting for her forthcoming film The Sky Is Pink.
Inspired from some real-life incidents, The Sky Is Pink revolves around a girl called Aisha Chaudhary, who was born with an immune deficiency disorder and was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at age 13. Before breathing her last at the age of 15, she also authored a book called My Little Epiphanies. Dangal (2016) and Secret Superstar (2017) fame Zaira Wasim is playing Aisha in the film.
Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim will join PC in London. “After completing the first schedule of the film in August in Mumbai, they will now shoot for a major portion in the UK, where Aisha had grown up, between October 10 and 21. Shonali has already done the recee and is presently prepping for the extensive schedule,” a well-placed source informs a tabloid.
Priyanka Chopra, whose last Hindi film was the Prakash Jha-directed Jai Gangaajal in 2016, walked out of Salman Khan’s high-profile Bharat to star in The Sky Is Pink. Apart from playing the female lead, she is also co-producing the project with Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. The film is being helmed by Shonali Bose, who rose to fame after directing the critically acclaimed film, Margarita With A Straw (2014).
