Ajay Devgn starts shooting for period drama ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’

Superstar Ajay Devgn, who was last seen in Rajkumar Gupta’s successful film Raid (2018), has started shooting for his ambitious project Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, which he had announced earlier this year. The National Award-winning actor started the shoot with a ceremonial pooja in Mumbai. He also shared some pictures of the pooja on his social media platforms, which have gone viral ever since. The film is being made on a lavish budget with a large chunk of its production cost allocated for filming jaw-dropping action sequences and sleek VFX. Expectations are riding really high on the project from the first day of the announcement.

Always in demand, Ajay Devgn is one of the most versatile actors of Bollywood, who has impressed the audience possibly in every genre one can think of. Be it romance, comedy, drama, or action, the actor has done it all in a fruitful career spanning across decades. Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior is one of the most ambitious projects of his career, and we know he will nail his character in this one as well.

While sharing the official poster of the film on the day of its announcement in July, Devgn had also unveiled the first poster of the historical movie. “He fought for his People, his soil and his King Chhatrapati Shivaji. The unsung warrior of glorious Indian history, Subedar Taanaji Malusare,” read his post.

Helmed by Om Raut and produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Ajay Devgn himself, Taanaji – The Unsung Warrior will hit silver screens on November 29, 2019.

Besides Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, Ajay Devgn will also be seen in Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal and T-Series and Luv Ranjan Films’ De De Pyaar De. He is also doing a sports biopic.
