Actor John Abraham, who is currently riding high on the thunderous success of his recent hit Satyamev Jayate (2018) on Friday released the first look of his forthcoming film Batla House, to be helmed by Nikkhil Advani. Apart from unveiling the first poster, John also announced the official release date of the film. The movie will hit screens on 15th August 2019. While John’s Satyamev Jayate locked horns with Akshay Kumar’s Gold, Batla House will battle it out with Dharma Productions’ ambitious project Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy and Rajkummar Rao’s next Made In China.

As the name suggests itself, Batla House is based on much-talked-about Operation Batla House, which took place on 19 September 2008, against Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists in Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi.  Sharing the first poster of the film, John wrote on his Twitter handle, “Every story has two points of view. One wrong. The other right. But what if the lines are blurred? Very very blurred!”

Well, John has starred in a couple of patriotic films in the past, and all have performed well at the box-office. Be it Madras Cafe (2013),  Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran (2018) or Satyamev Jayate, John’s performance in all these films garnered a lot of appreciation for the actor. We hope his next films in the said genre also do well at the cash counter.

Apart from Batla House, John Abraham will also be seen in a yet another patriotic film Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW). It is expected to release in the first half of 2019. The actor is also working on an action franchise.
