It’s been over four years since the film released, but we still talk about it. Recently, there were rumours that producer Ekta Kapoor was planning to produce a sequel to the film. While there is still a lot of time before we see the sequel to the movie, we can certainly see the male leads Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh in another film.
Yes, according to reports, Sidharth and Riteish are all set to join forces once again after Ek Villain as the duo has signed writer-filmmaker Milap Zaveri’s next directorial venture. Though the project is still untitled, sources reveal that both the actors have been finalized and production will begin soon. The film will be made under the banner of Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.
Milap Zaveri last directed the John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Satyamev Jayate. The film hit the silver screen on 15th August this year and despite clashing with Akshay Kumar’s much-hyped Gold ended up earning a stupendous amount at the box-office. Satyamev Jayate is one of the most profitable movies of 2018. The success of the action entertainer has boosted Zaveri’s confidence so much that he wants to move on to his next as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra is currently shooting for his next Jabariya Jodi. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the flick stars his Hasee Toh Phasee (2014) co-star Parineeti Chopra as the female lead. After Jabariya Jodi, he will start worn on the Vikram Batra biopic. Riteish, on the other hand, is about to finish shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala’s much-awaited Housefull 4, the fourth instalment of his highly successful Housefull (2010) franchise.
