Controversies and Kangana Ranaut are like the shadow. Both cannot live without each other, it seems. The much-hyped controversy around Ranaut’s forthcoming historical dramaManikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi over directorial credit had not yet ended, a new controversy has cropped up. According to reports, actress Patralekhaa, who was last seen in Nanu Ki Jaanu (2018), has walked out of filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s next film Panga which stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. Reports suggest that Patralekhaa quit the movie because she feared she would be overshadowed by the three-time National award-winning actress.
However, when director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari was contacted, she rubbished the rumours and requested everyone to allow her to make the film peacefully. “Panga is a story that’s very close to my heart and I could see only Kangna bringing life to the character. I request everyone not to be judgmental and together allow me to breathe the air of oneness like the support and love you have given me for my previous films.”
The Bareilly Ki Barfi (2018) helmer went on to add, “Movies are the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being. With Panga, let’s tell only stories of love.”
Panga revolves around a family that dares to dream, keeping all their fears at bay. It’s a film about the great familial bond. Kangana plays a Kabaddi player in the movie. Besides her, the film also stars Neena Gupta, Jassie Gill, Richa Chadha and Pankaj Tripathi in significant roles. The movie is being produced by Fox Star Studios.
