Salman Khan, who is known to have launched many actors in Bollywood, has decided to take another fresh talent under his wings. Reportedly, the superstar is all set to launch Pranutan Bahl, the granddaughter of iconic Bollywood actress Nutan and daughter of actor Mohnish Bahl, under his banner, Salman Khan Films. Pranutan will be launched alongside Zaheer Iqbal who is also making his debut with the forthcoming flick. The untitled movie will be helmed by filmmaker Nitin Kakkar.
According to reports, Kakkar came across the young girl on social media. He had gone through almost 100 auditions before, but when he saw Pranutan, he knew he had found the perfect girl for the female lead role in the movie. Being the daughter of Salman Khan’s long-time friend and co-star Mohnish Bahl, Kakkar discussed the possibility of auditioning the newcomer with the superstar who readily agreed and later finalized her for the part. “Pranutan has a great legacy. I can assure you that she will make everyone proud,” Khan said.
When Pranutan was asked about her reaction on being finalized for a Salman Khan film, she said, “When I got to know about this film and heard the script, I knew this would be a dream debut for me. Films were always my calling.”
The movie is set against the backdrop of Kashmir. The team will be commencing the first schedule in the Valley later this month. The yet-to-be-titled project is being jointly produced by Salman Khan, Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde. It might release in the first half of 2019.
