Sooraj Pancholi may not have attained the kind of stardom he would have probably thought when he entered showbiz with Salman Khan Films’ much-publicized offering Hero (2015), but one thing that we should definitely praise him for is his patience. The actor made his debut in 2015 but did not get many offers after the movie bombed at the box-office. It’s been three years since we have not seen the young actor in any film. He signed his second film just a couple of months ago, followed by the third flick with Nikkhil Advani.
But looks like Junior Pancholi’s stars are not in much favour of him yet. We say so because the female lead of his third offering, Satellite Shankar, has bowed out of it just days after the team started shooting. Yes, according to reports, Rhea Chakraborty, who was offered the female lead role opposite Sooraj Pancholi, has opted out of Satellite Shankar at the last moment. “Rhea and I were in talks regarding the film but due to her date issues, she couldn’t be part of the film. She is a talented actor and I look forward to working with her in future,” said co-producer Murad Khetani in a statement.
With Rhea leaving the project at the eleventh hours, the makers of the film have no choice except starting their search for the new leading lady all over again.
Besides Satellite Shankar, Sooraj Pancholi is also shooting for Stanley D’Costa’s dance-based film Time To Dance. The film marks the acting debut of Katrina Kaif’s younger sister Isabelle Kaif in Bollywood. It might release at the end of the year.
