One project that is eagerly awaited by not only the audience but also the entire Hindi film industry is the Gulshan Kumar biopic. The project was first announced in 2017 and it has been in news ever since. When Bhushan Kumar, the T-Series head honcho, announced the Gulshan Kumar biopic in 2017, Akshay Kumar was onboard to play the music baron in the movie. However, later it emerged that the superstar was not very happy with the story, and hence he decided to walk out of it much before the shoot started. The next development was when Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan decided to join hands with T-Series to co-produce the biopic under his production house, Aamir Khan Productions.
The latest we hear that now the makers have decided to rename the film. Earlier it was called Mogul, but if reports are to be believed, the film will now have a fresh new start with a new title and cast. “Mogul was the title they zeroed-in on when they announced the film. But now, they feel that the audience will not resonate with it, so they’ve decided to change it. The new title will be announced soon,” a source reveals to a popular daily.
Talking about the casting of the film, no actor has come onboard after Akshay Kumar excited the project. Recently, there were rumours that Ranbir Kapoor has been approached to take up the title role in the flick, no official confirmation has come from the makers.
We hope that the makers announce the new title and star cast of the film soon.
