John Abraham, who is currently riding high on the success of his recent release ‘Satyamev Jayate’ (2018), has had a fantastic 2018. The actor saw the release of two starkly different films this year – ‘Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran’ and ‘Satyamev Jayate’ – and, as good luck would have it, both performed exceptionally well at the ticket window, exceeding all expectations. Buoyed up by the success of his last two films, John will now start shooting for his next movie, titled ‘Batla House’. To be directed by Nikkhil Advani, the action thriller is inspired from true events and will mount the shooting floor in November this year.
The team is planning to roll the camera on 1st November and wrap up the entire film by January 5. “We will start workshops for the film from next week. We will start shooting of that film from November 1 and we will be finishing the film on 5th January,” John said. When asked about his preparations for his role in the flick, the actor said, “So, it’s all planned, but I think we will have to do a lot of research for the film. I did workshops for ‘RAW’ and ‘Parmanu’ and ‘Madras Cafe’ and I think doing workshops brings a lot of difference to your performance.”
John is currently shooting for his next ‘Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW). Talking about the film, the talented actor said, “My next film will be ‘RAW’ (Romeo Akbar Walter) and with every film, you have to prove a point and after ‘RAW’, I will be doing ‘Batla House’ and it goes on so, overall very happy with the audience response to ‘Satyameva Jayate’”.
RAW was first offered to Sushant Singh Rajput. However, the actor walked out of the project citing constant delays in its production. After his exit, John came onboard to headline the project.
