Starring superstar Kajol and National-Award winning actor Riddhi Sen in lead roles, the forthcoming Hindi film ‘Helicopter Eela’ has been shifted to a new release date. Earlier scheduled to hit the silver screen on September 7, 2018, the movie has been postponed by one month and will now release on October 12, 2018. So, why the film has been deferred to a new date? According to reports, director Pradeep Sarkar has been diagnosed with dengue. Doctors advised him to take at least a week’s rest after being discharged from the hospital on August 24, 2018. Sarkar is so passionate about his work that despite being unwell, he shot for a special guest sequence with megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Though the whole production team ensured the director is fine during the shoot, unfortunately, immediately after the shoot was wrapped up, Pradeep was admitted in the hospital once again, which has led to the delay in the post-production work of the film. Ajay Devgn, who is the producer of the movie, is not willing to release the movie before the director himself does not see the final product. “Ajay doesn’t want the post-production of the movie to go on without Pradeep Dada around. He wants the director to complete the film as per his vision. Ajay is ready to wait for Dada to be fit enough so he can himself oversee the last stages of post-production. So, he decided to defer the release to October 12.”
‘Helicopter Eela’ is jointly produced by Ajay Devgn, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada and Aksshay Jayantilal Gada and co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Vikrant Sharma, Reshmaa Kadakla, Kaushal Kantilal Gada and Neeraj Gala. Remember, the slice-of-life movie will now release on 12th October 2018.
