Megastar Aamir Khan, who is currently busy shooting for his upcoming Hindi movie ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’, is rumoured to be starring in the Hindi remake of a popular Hollywood film, after he completes the Yash Raj Films’ venture. Though not much details are out on the movie, some media outlets report that it was a Paramount Pictures’ offering. Recently, rumours have also been rife about Aamir Khan headlining the Osho biopic by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. But if the latest reports are to be believed, the work on the project has come to a halt due to some reasons.
Talking about the Osho biopic, a well-placed source reveals that the team is currently reworking on the script of the film, “Work on that has been currently paused. The team is reworking the script on Aamir’s advice. There are several parts of the storyline that he had not agreed upon.”
Coming back to Khan’s Hollywood remake, another source divulges, “He is interested in remaking a Hollywood movie, which was produced by Paramount Pictures. Aamir never spills the beans about his projects till all the details are chalked out. No wonder, he is keeping the name of this film under wraps. It will be revealed only when everything is finalised as talks are currently underway to acquire the rights.” Aamir Khan is known to choose his projects wisely and we are sure that he would have picked up a Hollywood gem to remake.
Meanwhile, talking about ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, the mega-budgeted movie is gearing up for its release on Diwali this year. Besides Khan, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh in principal cast. Written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is produced by Aditya Chopra.
