According to reports, Kunal Kapoor and Kalki Koechlin are joining hands for an upcoming Hindi film, titled ‘Koi Jaane Na’. As the name suggests itself, the movie will be a suspense thriller shot across some beautiful locations in India and abroad. Actor-writer Amin Hajee, who is mostly remembered for his roles of Bagha in Aamir Khan’s ‘Lagaan’ (2001) and Vir Singh in ‘Mangal Pandey: The Rising’ (2005), is set to make his directorial debut with the project. Before turning director, he has written the screenplays for such successful movies as Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Swades’ (2004) and Mimoh Chakraborty’s ‘Haunted-3D’ (2011). ‘Koi Jaane Na’, to be produced by Mohaan Nadaar, is set to commence production at the end of September this year.
Revealing some more details on the project, a source close to the development says, “It will be shot majorly in Scotland in a month-long schedule with some portions in Panchgani later. Kunal plays a writer who doubles up as a vigilante.” The source goes on to add that the makers are tight-lipped about Kalki’s role in the movie. He also adds that Hajee has been taking guidance from his mentor Ashutosh Gowariker about how to go about his maiden directorial venture.
The casting of ‘Koi Jaane Na’ looks quite unusual and we hope the movie turns out to be an interesting watch, too. Kunal Kapoor, who will shortly be seen in the Reema Kagti-directed sports drama ‘Gold’ alongside Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy and Amit Sadh, is teaming up with Kalki Koechlin for the first time in his career. Kalki will next be seen in Zoya Akhtar’s much-awaited ‘Gully Boy’, which also stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The actress plays the role of a music producer in the Excel Entertainment venture.
