Speculations are rife that the forthcoming sequel of superhit Hindi film ‘Baaghi’ (2016) will have a bigger star in its cast. Wait! If you think that the makers are planning to replace Tiger Shroff in the franchise, then that is not the case. No one is going to replace Shroff in ‘Baaghi 3’. In fact, the makers are thinking of roping in superstar Akshay Kumar to play the main villain in the movie. Yes, after the upcoming sci-fi film ‘2.0’, Kumar might play an antagonist in yet another movie.
Buzz has it that after the earth-shattering success of ‘Baaghi 2’ which pulled in over Rs. 165 crores at the domestic box-office, producer Sajid Nadiadwala is planning to mount ‘Baaghi 3’ on a much bigger scale. Not just production wise, he wants his movie look grand in terms of star cast also. That is why Nadiadwala is planning to bring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff both the actors in the next instalment of the ‘Baaghi’ series.
If you remember, Sajid Nadiadwala had announced ‘Baaghi 3’ months before the release of ‘Baaghi 2’. Work on the third instalment has already begun and filmmaker Ahmed Khan is gearing up to commence pre-production work soon. Buoyed by the massive success of ‘Baaghi 2’, the makers are planning to invest a huge budget of 100 crores on the making of ‘Baaghi 3.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is promoting his upcoming movie ‘Gold’. Also starring Mouni Roy, Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor in important roles, the film is directed by Reema Kagti. It is slated to release on 15th August, 2018. Soon after the release of ‘Gold’, he will be seen in sci-fi flick ‘2.0’, also featuring Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson. His next projects include ‘Kesari’ and ‘Housefull 4’. He is also rumoured to be joining hands with Kareena Kapoor Khan once again for a Dharma Productions’ movie.
