Superstar Shahid Kapoor is probably in the best phase of his career. His last movie ‘Padmaavat’ (2018) did terrific business at the box-office and his slate of upcoming movies also looks quite promising. The icing on the cake is that the actor is going to be a father for the second time very soon. If you though the list of exciting news would end just there, then wait! Buzz has it that Shahid Kapoor has just inked a three-film deal with one of the biggest moviemaking banners in India, ZEE Studios.
Unlike other movie deals where actors are paid a fixed amount for doing a certain number of films, Kapoor will get a price hike with the release of each movie of the deal. Spilling some more details on the deal, a source divulged, “This deal means that the studio has invested in what it sees to be a potential superstar. The amount paid to the actor will increase as he completes each of the three films. From Shahid’s point of view, it’s a win. He charged Rs. 12 crore for his last film, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, and this three-film deal consolidates his position among the lot of rising superstars including Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan”.
Shahid Kapoor is currently busy with his yet-to-be-finished movie ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’. Also starring Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in lead roles, the movie is being directed by Shree Narayan Singh and is set to release on 24th September, 2018. After ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, he will move on to shoot the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster ‘Arjun Reddy’ (2017). Besides ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, and ‘Arjun Reddy’ remake, Shahid will also be seen in Raja Krishna Menon’s next directorial, based on the sports of Kabaddi.
