After wrapping up the shoot for brother-in-law Aayush Sharma’s debut film ‘Loveratri’, also featuring debutante Warina Hussain, superstar Salman Khan is now gearing up to kick-start his next production venture, which introduces debutant Zaheer Iqbal as the male lead. Khan had announced a couple of months ago that his banner, Salman Khan Films, would soon bankroll a movie for Zaheer, who happens to be the son of one of Khan’s good friends. The latest update on the project is that it is set to mount the shooting floor in the month of September.
According to reports, the film has been titled ‘The Notebook’. To be directed by ‘Filmistan’ (2013) fame director Nitin Kakkar, the movie will begin its schedule in the picturesque locations of Kashmir Valley. The director is currently in the Valley, looking for suitable locations to begin the shoot. As per sources, ‘The Notebook’ will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule of two months.
Besides Salman Khan, two other producers have come onboard to jointly produce the movie. They are Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde. ‘The Notebook’ is said to be a love story and Zaheer has been training hard to get into the skin of his character. He is also spending a lot of time in the gym to get a toned physique before making his debut. “He is a good dancer and the shoot is most likely to start with a song sequence. A new face will be launched opposite Zaheer but the team is keeping her under wraps at the moment.” a source divulged.
According to insiders, it was Zaheer’s performance at sister Arpita Khan’s wedding in 2014 which impressed the superstar and he immediately decided to launch him in Bollywood one day. Besides Zaheer, Khan is also rumoured to be launching bodyguard Shera’s son Tiger.
