Bhumi Pednekar in, Kriti Sanon out of Phantom Films’ ‘Womaniya’?

Actress Kriti Sanon, who tasted loads of success with her last release ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ (2017), has been signing new projects left, right and centre. The ‘Heropanti’ (2014) actress has just started shooting for her next ‘Housefull 4’, which is the next instalment of the ‘Housefull’ (2010) series. Besides ‘Housefull 4’, she will also be seen in the Dinesh Vijan produced movies ‘Arjun Patiala’ and ‘Luka Chuppi’. Her period film ‘Panipat’ with director Ashutosh Gowariker is also starting in a few months from now. Recently, Sanon was also in the news for signing Phantom Films’ upcoming production ‘Womaniya’. Actress Taapsee Pannu plays one of the female leads in the flick. But looks like Kriti has realized that shooting for so many films at the same time is not going to be possible at all and hence, she has reportedly bowed out of the movie.

We hear that the actress had already allotted a chunk of dates to the makers of ‘Womaniya’, but now she is unable to accommodate the film in her busy schedule. Fresh reports state that after Kriti exited the movie, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ (2017) actress Bhumi Pednekar was approached to replace her. It’s yet not confirmed though whether or not Pednekar has signed the movie on the dotted line.

A source close to the development says, “As per Kriti’s schedule, she was supposed to start shooting for ‘Housefull 4’ and ‘Panipat’ after finishing ‘Arjun Patiala’, so with a choco-bloc year for the actress, she did not have the dates that the makers now wanted. Hence, they had to decide to move on from their first choice.”

Bhumi, who was last seen in ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ (2017), will shortly be seen in ‘Sonchiriya’.
