‘Lust Stories’, an anthology of four beautifully crafted stories about women and their desires, which premiered recently on the streaming media giant Netflix, has been received quite well by the audience. All parts of the digital series were praised by the audience and critics alike, but the one that walked away with the maximum amount of love was Karan Johar’s section featuring Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. Kiara is currently riding high on the success of the series. Looks like Karan was so impressed with her performance in the series that he has now made his mind to work with the actress again.
Yes, if reports are to be believed, Kiara might play the female lead in Dharma Productions’ upcoming film, which is a biopic on Kargil martyr Vikram Batra. Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who was last seen in Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Aiyaary’ (2018) has been finalized to play the male lead in the flick to be helmed by Vishnu Varadhan from a story by Sandeep Shrivastava. The project, which was announced recently, is being co-produced by Karan Johar and Shabbir Boxwala. Karan thinks Kiara fits the part perfectly and hence she should be there in the lead cast. However, an official announcement is awaited.
The film is expected to start rolling in the month of October. The makers are planning to release it in mid-2019. Before commencing the work on the Vikram Batra biopic, Sidharth might do Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Shotgun Shaadi’. He is also rumoured to be headlining Kapoor’s ‘Ek Villain 2’, a sequel to his 2014 film ‘Ek Villain’ which also starred Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.
