Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Arjun Reddy’ remake to start rolling before schedule. Know why!

Shahid Kapoor, who is currently shooting for Shree Narayan Singh’s social drama movie ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, will next be seen in the Hindi remake of blockbuster South Indian film, ‘Arjun Reddy’ (2017). The Telugu language movie, which starred Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, was one of the most successful movies of 2017. To cash in on its huge popularity, the makers are now remaking it in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor headlining the cast. To be helmed by Sandeep Vanga, who directed the original, the remake was about to start rolling in the fourth quarter of the year. However, if the latest reports are to be believed, the film might begin production before its schedule.

According to reports, Shahid Kapoor requested the makers to commence the shoot a month earlier than its pre-decided shooting schedule. As we all know that Shahid’s wife, Meera Rajput, is expecting their second child. The actor wants to be by his wife’s side when she delivers the child. Hence he requested the makers to prepone the shooting schedule of the remake. Reportedly, the makers have accepted Shahid’s request and now the film will mount the shooting floor one month in advance. The team has started preparations in full swing. A massive set is being erected in Mumbai to begin the first schedule of the movie.

Talking about the female lead of the movie, we hear that the makers have locked Tara Sutaria for the part. Tara is currently shooting for her debut film ‘Student Of The Year 2’. Co-starring Tiger Shroff and Ananya Panday, ‘SOTY2’ is the next instalment of Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year’ (2012), which launched Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan in Bollywood. The sequel is being helmed by Puneet Malhotra and is scheduled to enter cinemas on 23rd November, 2019.
