Tiger Shroff turns down Dharma Productions’ next. Here’s why!

After the thunderous success of his recent release ‘Baaghi 2’, Tiger Shroff has become quite choosy about his next projects. The actor is taking his sweet time in signing new movies. What all, it seems, he does not want to do at this point in his career is to play the second fiddle to his contemporaries. Yes, according to reports, Tiger is not ready to play parallel lead in movies and hence, he recently turned down a film offer by none other than Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
If reports are to be believed, Dharma Productions had offered a two-hero film to Shroff. Ranveer Singh is, reportedly, also a part of the movie. He plays one of the male leads in the untitled project. However, when Tiger was approached to play the second male lead in the movie, he politely turned down the offer as he did not want to play the second fiddle to Singh. Interestingly, Tiger is doing a two-hero project with superstar Hrithik Roshan. But the actor is doing that film because it stars his idol Hrithik and he has an equal footing in the film.
Another interesting thing to note is that both Ranveer Singh and Tiger Shroff are currently shooting for two upcoming films of Dharma Productions. While Ranveer is working on Rohit Shetty’s cop drama ‘Simmba’ opposite Sara Ali Khan, Tiger has kicked off the second shooting schedule of ‘Student Of The Year 2’, which stars opposite him debutantes Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday.
Besides ‘Student Of The Year 2’ and an untitled film with Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff has also signed Siddharth Anand’s action entertainer ‘Rambo’. As the title suggests itself, the film will be an official remake of Hollywood biggie of the same name. Ready to go on floors in 2019, the movie will be bankrolled by M! Capital Ventures, Original Entertainment, Impact Films and Siddharth Anand Pictures.
