Taapsee Pannu is on a roll these days! The actress has an interesting list of films which will be heading to the big screen all through 2018 and 2019. Interestingly, before she finishes shooting for one film, filmmakers queue up in front of her doors with many more scripts. Pannu recently capped off Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Manmarziyan’ and then flew to Scotland to shoot for director Sujoy Ghosh’s next ‘Badla’, which gives her an opportunity to reunite with thespian Amitabh Bachchan after their 2016 blockbuster, ‘Pink’. And now we hear that the actress is in talks to sign another interesting project.
According to reports, Taapsee Pannu is in negotiations with Punjabi actor, singer, songwriter and director Gippy Grewal to headline his Bollywood directorial debut. The movie, we hear, is a rom-com and the makers feel that Pannu will suit the role to the tee. Tentatively titled ‘Dare And Lovely’, the movie is set in Punjab.
According to sources, the makers narrated the script to Taapsee a few months ago. The actress liked the script and gave her nod to come onboard. However, she is yet to sign the project on the dotted line. “The film is set in Punjab with Taapsee playing a girl searching for her roots. She heard the script a few months ago and loved the subject. She has verbally given her nod to the project but has yet to sign on the dotted line,” informs a well-placed source to a popular tabloid.
Gippy Grewal made his directorial debut with Punjabi film ‘Ardaas’ in 2016. The movie was well-received by the audience. And now, he wants to branch out to Bollywood. Well, we wish him loads of luck for his new endeavour.
