Vishal Bhardwaj to collaborate with Priyanka Chopra after ‘7 Khoon Maaf’

Acclaimed filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is facing a lot of trouble as far as beginning his next ventures is concerned. The award-winning director was all gung-ho about teaming up with Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan for a gangster movie. However, all his plans fell apart when Khan was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer, leaving makers with no choice except putting the project on the backburner. The latest we hear that Bhardwaj is planning to team up with Priyanka Chopra again for a movie based on the classic Shakespeare novel, Twelfth Night. The duo has previously worked together on the 2007 movie ‘7 Khoon Maaf’, which was an adaptation of the short story Susanna’s Seven Husbands by Ruskin Bond.

Sharing his wish to join forces with the international star once again, Vishal told a leading daily, “She is a huge star, and everyone knows that. Besides, she’s a very real person also. When you are with her, you don’t feel that Priyanka is a star. I feel Priyanka is my friend. I mean, whenever I am with her, it feels like we are good friends. Priyanka is now a huge international star; I met her 3-4 times in New York. But she’s still the same, and we both are looking forward to working with each other. Most probably I’ll do my (adaptation of Shakespeare’s) Twelfth Night with her.”

Currently, grabbing headlines for her alleged affair with international pop sensation Nick Jonas, Priyanka will next be seen in Atul Agnihotri and Bhushan Kumar’s co-production venture, ‘Bharat’. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film stars Salman Khan in the lead role, while Tabu, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover also play significant roles. The project begins production next month. The actress is also rumoured to be teaming up with filmmaker Rakesh Roshan for ‘Krrish 4’, the next instalment of the ‘Krrish’ series.
