With the makers of her American TV show ‘Quantico’ deciding against producing the next instalment of the series, Priyanka Chopra has a lot more time to focus on her career in Bollywood. The actress recently announced her comeback project ‘Bharat’, wherein she teams up with superstar Salman Khan after a huge gap of 10 years. Besides her and Khan, Disha Patani, Tabu and Sunil Grover are also a part of the ensemble cast. And now, the latest buzz has it that PC is also going to star in the next instalment of the ‘Krrish’ franchise.
Rakesh Roshan, the director of the successful series, confirms that Priyanka Chopra will certainly join the cast of ‘Krrish 4’ as he cannot imagine the film without her presence. The news of the confirmation has come through a new book titled ‘Priyanka Chopra: The Dark Horse’, where the veteran actor-director talks about his experience working with Chopra.
“When I worked with her in ‘Krrish’ (2006), I never realised that one day she’d be going to Hollywood. But I always knew that she would hit the top bracket here. It’s her professionalism and her acting abilities that have taken her to where she’s gone today,” he said.
‘Krrish 4’ brings back superstar Hrithik Roshan in his superhero avatar. Currently, the work on the script is going on. Casting for other important characters will begin once the final draft is ready. As said by Senior Roshan earlier, the latest instalment of the series is going to be way bigger and better than previous parts as many international technicians will be working on its VFX and action sequences to ensure that it turns out to be as good a film as any other Hollywood superhero biggie.
The production is expected to begin next year. The film is slated for Christmas 2020 release.
