After the runaway success of his last directorial venture, the Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja starrer ‘Pad Man’ (2018), acclaimed filmmaker R Balki has not announced any project. Earlier, there were some reports stating that the director would next helm a biopic on Arunima Sinha, the first Female amputee to climb Mount Everest. However, he denied all reports during the promotions of ‘Pad Man’.
The latest we hear that Balki might collaborate with newcomers Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in his next movie. So, what has led to these speculations swirling around in media? Yesterday, Janhvi, Ishaan and R Balki were photographed travelling together in a car. They were heading somewhere after a meeting at the IMPPA (Indian Motion Pictures Producers’ Association) House. Except for the trio, no one actually knows what the meeting was for. But whoever has seen their photographs on social media is busy conjecturing about a possible collaboration among the three.
Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter have just wrapped up their much-awaited film ‘Dhadak’. While Khatter, the younger brother of Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor, entered Bollywood with Majid Majidi’s recently released film ‘Beyond The Clouds’ (2018), ‘Dhadak’ will mark the acting debut of Janhvi, the daughter of late veteran actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, ‘Dhadak’ is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Scheduled to release on 20th July, 2018, the film is the Hindi remake of award-winning Marathi blockbuster film ‘Sairat’ (2016), written and directed by Nagraj Manjule.
