Actor Imran Khan turns director with a short film

Bollywood actor Imran Khan, who debuted into Hindi films with ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ (2008) with much fanfare, failed to leave an impact with his acting abilities. The actor appeared in many big films, including ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ (2010), ‘Delly Belly’ (2011) and ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ (2011), but none could actually help him cement his position in Bollywood and soon, he faded into oblivion. Imran was last seen in Nikkhil Advani’s romantic drama ‘Katti Batti’ (2015) opposite Kangana Ranaut and since then we haven’t heard much about him.

However, the forgotten hero is in news once again. According to reports, Khan is returning to the industry, not as an actor though. He is venturing into direction with an upcoming short film which is currently in the scripting stage. The actor, we hear, has planned a short vacation with his family. As soon as he returns from his vacation, he will sit down to finalize the cast and other important things.

Spilling some beans on the untitled project, a well-placed source shares with a premier entertainment magazine, “The film is in its planning stage right now. The only fact confirmed is that Imran will be directing the short film, produced by a brand that is known to produce and encourage short films and web series formats. This will not necessarily be a web film but a completely standalone film which will be shown in theatres.”

We are waiting for an official announcement now.
