Ranveer Singh is a busy actor. At any given time, he has almost half a dozen projects in his hand. But if the ‘Padmaavat’ (2018) star comes across any interesting script even amidst his super busy schedule, he hardly lets it go. Already committed to, as we said, almost half a dozen films, Singh might, reportedly, add another movie to his kitty by signing ace filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s one of the upcoming projects.
Buzz has it that ‘Mirzya’ (2016) director is planning two projects – one talks about the relationship of a father-son duo and the other one is said to be a sports drama revolving around Kabaddi. Ranveer might be seen in of these two untitled films. “Ranveer and Rakeysh met and discussed about working together. The filmmaker has bounced off the ideas to Ranveer, but nothing has been locked yet. They are going to have a few more meetings before they zero in on the film,” informs a well-placed source.
Recently, Ranveer and Mehra were clicked outside the latter’s office in Mumbai which led to the speculation that the duo is planning a film together. We hope their meetings come to fruition and they announce their maiden venture soon.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is gearing up to begin work on Rohit Shetty’s much-talked about film ‘Simmba’, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The actor is currently training hard to get a beefed-up body for the movie. Besides, he has just wrapped up Zoya Akhtar’s next ‘Gully Boy’, co-starring Alia Bhatt. Right after finishing ‘Simmba’, he will move on to Kabir Khan’s next directorial venture ‘83’, which is based on India’s iconic victory in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. The actor plays Kapil Dev in the biographical sports drama.
