While other actors spend years in the industry before taking the big decision of turning producer, newcomer Harshvardhan Kapoor has decided to wear a producer’s hat quite early in his career. Yes, the one film old actor is planning to bankroll a project, if source are to be believed. According to reports, Kapoor has an interesting horror flick in his hand. He liked the script of the film so much that he has decided to back it along with playing the male lead. If that happens, the movie will mark his debut as a producer.
A well-placed source reveals to a daily that the actor likes exploring different genres of acting and since he has yet not done a horror flick, he did not only said yes to the project but also decided to produce it. “Harshvardhan likes to dabble in different genres. He is keen to do a horror film and is also planning to produce it.”
The untitled film will be helmed by Ashim Ahluwalia who last directed the Arjun Rampal starrer ‘Daddy’ (2017). Other important details regarding the project are yet to be disclosed by the makers.
In the meantime, Harshvardhan Kapoor, who made his acting debut with renowned filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Mirzya’ (2016), is currently busy promoting his second outing ‘Bhavesh Joshi’. Helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane and bankrolled by Phantom Films and Fox Star Studios, the much-delayed project hits the silver screen on 1st June 2018. Besides, Kapoor will also be seen in a biopic of Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra. To be helmed by Kannan Iyer, the biopic is based on Bindra’s autobiography, ‘A Shot at History: My Obsessive Journey to Olympic Gold’.
