Salman Khan wants Prabhu Deva to helm a film for Bobby Deol

Megastar Salman Khan shares a special bond with the Deol family and we all know that. Dharmendra is very fond of the actor and calls him his son. The two have done a couple of films together and have always been there for each other whenever needed. In fact, it was Salman Khan who encouraged Bobby Deol to make a comeback to films. Not just that, the actor-producer even signed him to play the second male lead in his mega-budgeted film ‘Race 3’, the third instalment of the super successful suspense thriller franchise, ‘Race’ (2008). The budding friendship between the two has been going stronger with each passing day. And the latest we hear that Salman is keen to produce a film starring Bobby Deol in the lead role. Khan wants choreographer-turned-filmmaker Prabhu Deva to helm the project. Prabhu has previously directed Salman in the blockbuster action entertainer ‘Wanted’ (2009) and will call the shots once again for him in ‘Dabangg 3’.

A well-placed source informs an English daily, “Salman has spoken to Prabhu Deva to try and do a good commercial project which will mark the return of Bobby to the A-list. Bobby was doing well at one point in time, after which, his success dipped due to bad films and some personal decisions. But now, after seeing the response to Bobby’s body and his on-screen presence in the ‘Race 3’ trailer, Salman has asked Prabhu Deva to work on a good south film remake and cast Bobby in the lead.”

Apart from ‘Race 3’, which makes its entry into cinemas on 15th June 2018, Bobby Deol has also been confirmed for filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming comic-caper ‘Housefull 4’. To be helmed by Sajid Khan, the movie also stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Kriti Sanon in principal roles. It goes on floors in June.
