Grapevine has it that megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently riding high on the success of his recently released film ‘102 Not Out’ (2018), is now gearing up to commence work on a new project. And if sources are to be believed, the thespian will join forces with talented actress Taapsee Pannu yet again after the runaway success of their courtroom drama ‘Pink’ (2016).
Titled ‘Badla’, the movie is being touted as a gripping murder mystery. The project will be helmed by well-known filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh who has previously directed Big B in fantasy-adventure ‘Aladin’ (2009). It will be bankrolled by producer Sunir Kheterpal.
Talking about the project, a well-placed source reveals that the movie predominantly revolves around the characters to be played by Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. “It is a month-long schedule and they will be filming in London and Scotland. The film is a murder mystery which revolves around the duo and Taapsee’s love interest who is a businessman.”
Meanwhile, Senior Bachchan is currently busy with Yash Raj Films’ much-awaited heist drama ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’. Helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film also stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in principal roles and is scheduled to release on 7th November. Besides ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’, Big B will also be seen in Dharma Productions’ ‘Brahmastra’ with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Taapsee, on the other hand, is shooting for Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming directorial ‘Manmarziyaan’ and Shaad Ali’s ‘Soorma’. Soon after wrapping up these two projects, she will move on to shoot Phantom Films’ next ‘Womaniya’.
As far as ‘Badla’ is concerned, we hope the makers make an official announcement soon.
