The makers of Harshvardhan Kapoor’s second Bollywood offering ‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’ have decided to shift their film back by one week. Earlier scheduled to hit the silver screen on 25th May 2018, the much-awaited flick will now enter cinemas on 1st June 2018.
The makers reason that the decision has been taken from a distributional point of view. They believe that 1st June is a better date to release their film as it can draw more audience on that date as it releases a safe distance away from many other Hindi and English films scheduled to roll into theatres in the last week of May. By pushing their film back by one week, the makers now have the advantage of getting better and more number of shows in cinemas across the nation.
‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’ is helmed by renowned filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane. It will be his first release after the critically acclaimed film ‘Trapped’ (2017), starring power-packed performer Rajkummar Rao. Just like his previous outing, the Harshvardhan Kapoor starrer also promises to be a tale so gripping and intense that no one would like to miss it in cinemas on June 1st. The trailer of the film, which was unveiled a couple of weeks ago, has already received a thumbs up from the audience.
Interestingly, come May 1 and Harshvardhan Kapoor will be battling it out with her own sister at the box-office as Sonam Kapoor’s much-anticipated movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Sumeet Vyas, also arrives on the same date. Well, it will be really interesting to see who wins the box-office battle – brother or sister.
‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’ is presented by Eros International and produced by Phantom Films in association with Reliance Entertainment.
