Luv Ranjan signs superstar Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor for his next directorial

The runaway success of his recent release ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ (2018) has helped filmmaker Luv Ranjan cement his position in Bollywood firmly. Of late, there have been a lot of speculations about his next project after the big win of the Kartik Aryan, Sunny Singh and Nushrat Bharucha starrer bromance drama at the cash counter.

Finally, after a flurry of speculations and rumours, important details are out about his next movie. The ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ (2011) helmer is teaming up with superstar Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor for his next directorial venture. The announcement was made by his banner on Twitter, with a picture of the two stars. “Luv Ranjan’s next to star Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor,” read the tweet.

While Ranjan is already working with Ajay Devgn on a film produced by his banner Luv Ranjan Films, co-starring Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh, it will mark his first association with Ranbir Kapoor. Praising the talented actor, the director says, “Ranbir is an impeccable actor with a great ability to deliver nuanced performances. He is undeniably the most talented actor of his generation. I am looking forward to collaborating with him.”

Not just Ranjan, Ranbir is also psyched up about joining forces with the filmmaker and Ajay Devgn. “I have immense respect for Ajay sir and I’m excited about sharing the screen with him again. His body of work is inspiring. Luv and I have wanted to work with each other for some time now. I am sure this film will be a perfect start to our association,” he said.

The film will mark Kapoor’s second collaboration with Ajay Devgn after Prakash Jha’s multi-starrer political thriller ‘Raajneeti’ (2010).

The yet-to-be-titled film will mount the shooting floor in early 2019.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film ‘Sanju’ scheduled to roll into theatres on 29th June. Devgn, on the other hand, is currently shooting for Indra Kumar’s ‘Total Dhamaal’.
