Though his last few films such as ‘Rangoon’ (2017), ‘Chef’ (2017) and ‘Kaalakaandi’ (2018) failed to perform well at the box-office, Saif Ali Khan still remains one of the most sought-after actors in tinsel town. The actor has his plate full with an array of exciting projects, including ‘Baazaar’, Navdeep Singh’s next untitled film and a web-series called ‘Sacred Games’. The latest news coming in is that the actor is on the verge of signing yet another film. The untitled movie will be directed by Luv Ranjan who recently delivered one of the biggest hits of the year, ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ (2018).
Spilling some beans on what kind of roles he wants to do at this point in his career, Saif Ali Khan told a leading daily “I would love to do a comedy at this moment. I have done my share of dramatic, arty stuff. I guess it will be great if a good fun film comes along. Even I have been thinking about it, actually.”
When probed about his film with Luv Ranjan, the National award-winning actor added, “Yes, I have been in talks with Luv Ranjan for a comedy. We haven’t finalised the movie yet. It’s a comedy, in which I play a father. He is still working it out, so it’s too early to say anything. But we are definitely doing it.”
Saif was also planning a sequel to his hit film ‘Go Goa Gone’ (2013). When asked about any development on the project, he revealed, “We have got an idea, but the team is still writing it. We plan to start ‘Go Goa Gone 2’ next year. It will also be in that fun, comedy space.”
Meanwhile, Khan is currently shooting for Navdeep Singh’s next film in the interiors of Maharashtra. Produced by Aanand L Rai, the untitled movie also features Zoya Hussain and Anil Kapoor in important roles.
