Actress Kriti Sanon, who entered Bollywood with the Sajid Nadiadwala produced action entertainer ‘Heropanti’ (2014) opposite Tiger Shroff, is excited about beginning work on her first historical film ‘Panipat’. The movie is being helmed by distinguished Hindi filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker who has previously helmed massive period blockbusters such as ‘Lagaan’ (2001) and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ (2008). Since his next film is set against the backdrop of the third battle of Panipat which took place in 1761 between Afghan warriors and Maratha forces, the filmmaker requires all actors to train themselves in horse riding and sword fighting, etc. to look perfect in their characters. Sanon has begun her training by learning horse riding first.
On Tuesday, the gorgeous actress, who was last seen in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ (2017), shared a beautiful photograph of herself on her social media platform along with a horse. She captioned the picture as, “So good to be back with this beauty! Horse riding sessions start again with Suresh Sir and Amateur Riders Club. This time for ‘Panipat’.”
Apart from Kriti Sanon, ‘Panipat’ also stars Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in principal roles. The film will begin its production in mid-2018. To be bankrolled by Sunita Gowariker under home banner AGPPL in association with Vision World, the big-ticket movie is scheduled to enter cinemas on December 6, 2019.
Besides ‘Panipat’, Kriti Sanon will also be seen in the upcoming film ‘Arjun Patiala’ opposite Diljit Dosanjh. She has also been confirmed for Sajid Khan’s multi-starrer film ‘Housefull 4’ which is slated to hit screens on 26th October 2019. The actress is also in talks with renowned filmmaker Anurag Kashyap for a two-heroine film titled ‘Womaniya’.
Indeed, Sanon’s slate of upcoming films looks pretty strong.
