Once Bipasha Basu used to be one of the reigning queens of Bollywood, who gained a foothold in the industry by starring in a string of successful films such as ‘Ajnabee’ (2001), ‘Raaz’ (2002), ‘Jism’ (2003), ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ (2006), ‘Dhoom 2’ (2006), ‘Race’ (2008) and ‘Raaz 3D’ (2012), to name a few. However, selection of some poor scripts in the past few years and her movie career nosedived in no time.

The latest we hear that the seductress is all set to return to Bollywood with a bang. Basu, who was last seen in Bhushan Patel’s horror film ‘Alone’ in 2015, has been roped in to play the female lead in an upcoming slice-of-life movie which has not locked any title as yet. The film is expected to mount the shooting floor in London next week though.

“The film’s team is expected to leave for London next week, where a major chunk will be shot in a month-long schedule. While talks had been on for a while and there were changes in crew over the past few months, the film is now finally ready to go on floors,” reveals a source close to the production unit.

We also hear that after finalizing Bipasha Basu as the female lead, the makers have approached her husband, Karan Singh Grover, for the male lead. However, the actor is yet to take the final call.

Basu and Grover played the lead pair in ‘Alone’. If they come together again, the film will definitely grab a lot of eyeballs. Both actors have their own fan following which might prove beneficial for their film.
