The upcoming Hindi film ‘Kalank’, which was announced a couple of weeks ago with much fanfare, is being touted as one of the biggest movies of 2019. And why should it not be? After all, it boasts of the presence of some of the biggest stars of Bollywood, including Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. The latest we hear that another popular actor has joined the ensemble star cast of the period film.
According to reports, actor Kunal Khemu, who is popularly known for his performances in comic-capers such as the ‘Golmaal’ series and ‘Go Goa Gone’ (2013), has been roped in to play an important part in ‘Kalank’. The actor was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer ‘Golmaal Again’ (2017), which was a big success at the box-office.
A source reveals to a popular daily, “Kunal Kemmu is also a part of ‘Kalank’. The team has not announced it yet but he will have an important role in the film.” Adding further, the source says that Khemu has already started shooting for the film and that director Abhishek Verman is quite impressed with his performance. “Abhishek feels Kunal is extremely promising and he has already shot a few scenes that the filmmaker has loved.”
Helmed by ‘2 States’ (2014) fame Abhishek Verman, ‘Kalank’ is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The movie is scheduled for its theatrical release on April 19, 2019.
