We all know how much Boney Kapoor loved his wife and seasoned Bollywood diva Sridevi. Her untimely demise on 24th February 2018 was a shock that shook the whole nation. It left a void in Kapoor’s life that no one can ever fill. Some reports suggest that the filmmaker is keen to make a documentary on his late wife, and hence has registered three titles with an association in Mumbai. These titles, reportedly, include ‘Sri’, ‘Sridevi’ and ‘Sri Ma’am’.
“Boney Ji is serious about making a film on Sridevi Ji, and hence he has registered these titles. He is also keen to acquire other films that she has worked in and has registered the titles of those films too. Films like ‘Chaalbaaz’ (1987), ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’ (1993), ‘Jaanbaaz’ (1986), ‘Mr. India’ (1987) and even titles like ‘Return of Mr. India’ have been registered by Boney Ji recently,” reveals a source.
Interestingly, National award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta is also making a film on the late actress. After her death, he had said that he would regret not approaching the actress for the film and now he might cast Vidya Balan for the project.
“I will always regret that I didn’t approach her and could not make a movie with her. But I will make a film on her,” he had said.
