If you were waiting to see Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra once again in ‘Namaste England’, after their first film ‘Ishaqzaade’ (2012), rejoice as the makers of the much-awaited rom-com have decided to prepone its release date. Yes, you heard that right! The film, which is a sequel to the Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Namastey London’ (2007), has been preponed to October 19 during the Dussehra weekend.
‘Namaste England’ went on the floor in January this year with the first shooting schedule coming to an end a couple of days ago. Owing to the smooth shooting schedule, the makers felt that they could wrap the whole film before time, and hence moved its release date from December to October.
The entire cast and crew of the movie shot the first schedule across various virgin locations of Punjab as the film revolves around two young individuals from the state. Besides Punjab, ‘Namaste England’ will also be shot across cities like Dhaka, Paris, Brussels and, of course, London.
Produced by Jayantilal Gada and Dhaval Gada under the banner of Pen India Limited, ‘Namaste England’ is being helmed by Vipul Shah who also directed ‘Namastey London’. The director returns to direction after a massive gap of 8 years. He last directed ‘Action Replay’ in 2010, with his favourite Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Right after wrapping up ‘Namaste England’, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra will move on to commence their next film as the lead, ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’. To be directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the movie is a Yash Raj Films venture.
