Salman Khan to head to Leh & Ladakh to shoot a song for ‘Race 3’

Headlined by Salman Khan, ‘Race 3’ is one of the most-awaited films of 2018 for various reasons. First, it stars Khan in a never-seen-before avatar, and second, it’s the next instalment of the blockbuster action film franchise ‘Race’. Recently, Salman and team wrapped up the Abu Dhabi shooting schedule of the movie and then everyone was gearing up to shoot a special dance number at another foreign location. However, in the meantime, Salman was held guilty in a 20-years-old poaching case and he had to spend two days in prison before getting bail. Since the actor is not allowed to leave India till permitted by the court, the makers of ‘Race 3’ have decided to shoot the song in India only. The team has, reportedly, finalized Leh and Ladakh to shoot the special song.

“According to the original plan, South Africa was going to be the second last schedule followed by the Mumbai leg. After the court sentencing, certain changes had to be made in the schedule. The makers felt it would be feasible to wrap up the Mumbai schedule first so that they didn’t lose out on time. Towards the month-end, they will head to Leh to film the song that was initially meant to be canned in foreign locales,” a source informed.

Director Remo D’souza confirms the news saying, “We were scouting for locations, and finally decided on Leh and Ladakh. It’s going to be a week-long shoot during which we will film a song.” Ramesh Taurani, the co-producer of the film, also added, “Leh will add to the aesthetic value of the number.”

Apart from Salman Khan, ‘Race 3’ also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol, and Saqib Saleem. The movie is slated to arrive in theatres on15th June 2018.
