Salman Khan’s films make massive money at the box office and there is no doubt about that. Be it ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (2015), ‘Sultan’ (2016) or ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2018), every film starring Bhaijaan in the lead has made millions through theatrical release. Keeping the huge success of his last films in mind, the makers of his upcoming movie ‘Race 3’ are planning to sell the theatrical rights of the film at a whopping price.
‘Race 3’ is one of the most-awaited films of this year. It is a sequel to two highly successful suspense thrillers ‘Race’ (2008) and ‘Race 2’ (2013). Since the previous two installments of the series have been huge hits, buzz around the third part is immensely high. ‘Race 3’ is touted to be bigger and better than the previous parts and that has certainly piqued the excitement level of the audience across the country. To cash in on the popularity of the franchise coupled with Salman Khan’s unparalleled stardom, the makers are, reportedly, looking to sell the India theatrical rights of the action entertainer for a humongous price of Rs. 140 crores.
However, when co-producer Ramesh Taurani was asked about the same, he denied all such reports and said that his team will take a decision on the release of the movie only after it is completed. Though Taurani has rubbished reports about ‘Race 3’ being sold at 140 crores, some trade sources state that his team is in talks with few distributors for the movie.
Directed by Remo D’Souza, ‘Race 3’ also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Saqib Saleem, and Daisy Shah in important roles. It is slated to release on June 15, 2018, on the auspicious occasion of Eid.
