After ‘Pink’, Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu might reunite for ‘Badla’

After the remarkable success of ‘Pink’ (2016), which spawned a hot debate on women’s safety, their consent in sexual matters and the deep-rooted patriarchal mindset and beliefs of the society, Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu might come together for another film. According to some media reports, the duo is teaming up again for a crime thriller film to be helmed by celebrated filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh. The project is tentatively titled ‘Badla’.

According to a source, Big B is yet to sign the movie while Pannu has already committed to it. The makers are currently waiting for the senior actor’s final nod. Once he signs the film on the dotted line, it will go to the sets from mid-June.

“The film produced by Sunir Kheterpal is tentatively titled ‘Badla’. A crime thriller, it is expected to roll in mid- June. Mr. Bachchan has liked the script but is yet to sign on the dotted line but Taapsee has already committed to the project. The makers have already started work on the prep,” reveals a well-placed source to a popular English tabloid.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan is currently busy with the shooting of Yash Raj Films’ upcoming venture ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’, which also stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. He will shortly be seen in Umesh Shukla’s ‘102 Not Out’ alongside Rishi Kapoor. Taapsee Pannu, on the other hand, is shooting for her next ‘Manmarziyan’, helmed by Anurag Kashyap and starring Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. She is also doing ‘Soorma’ with Diljit Dosanjh along with Phantom Films’ next ‘Womaniya’.
