Starring real-life couple Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in principal roles, filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala’s latest offering ‘Baaghi 2’ is unstoppable at the box-office. After registering a phenomenal opening of Rs. 25.10 crores on the first day of its run, the movie maintained its pace on the second day and collected another Rs. 20.40 crores. The third-day collection of the action entertainer crossed its first-day earning by a huge margin, as the movie pulled in a humongous Rs. 27.60 crores on Sunday. After putting up a great show over the weekend, despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, ‘Baaghi 2’ is now aiming to cross the coveted Rs. 100 crore mark as soon as possible. The film currently stands at a massive collection of Rs. 73.10 crores and if it maintains the same pace, it will join the club in next 2-3 days.

As mentioned above, ‘Baaghi 2’ has minted a huge amount of Rs. 73.10 crore in three days, which is also the second-highest opening weekend collection by a Hindi movie in 2018. Though the Ahmed Khan directorial broke the opening day record of ‘Padmaavat’ (2018) easily, it couldn’t shatter its first-weekend collection, which was Rs. 114 crores, including preview shows.

Impressed by the astounding success of the actioner, well-known film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share a few words about the record-smasher. “‘Baaghi 2’ is a record-smasher… East, West, North, South – the film is having a blockbuster run everywhere. Opening weekend numbers are simply phenomenal,” he tweeted.

‘Baaghi 2’ is the second part of the ‘Baaghi’ series. Like the sequel, its predecessor was also a big success at the ticket window. It featured Shraddha Kapoor opposite Tiger Shroff and hit screens in 2016.

‘Baaghi 2’ also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda and Deepak Dobriyal in important roles. After the outstanding success of ‘Baaghi 2’, the makers will now start work on ‘Baaghi 3’ which was announced even before the release of ‘Baaghi 2’.
