Buoyed up by the great response his latest film ‘Raid’ (2018) has been receiving from the audience ever since hitting cinemas on 16th March, actor Ajay Devgn has now focused all his attention on his upcoming lineup of films.
After ‘Raid’, the actor will next be seen in Indra Kumar’s highly anticipated comic-caper ‘Total Dhamaal’. Ajay is also about to begin shooting for an untitled film which is being bankrolled by Luv Ranjan and Bhushan Kumar. Right after wrapping up this untitled movie with T-Series, Ajay will shoot for the upcoming biopic ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’ from August. Amidst the busy schedule of the superstar, the latest we hear that the National Award-winning actor has signed a new film, to be directed by Ashwni Dhir.
Ashwni Dhir has previously directed Devgn in two successful films such as ‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge’ (2010) and ‘Son Of Sardaar’ (2012). The director says that his next venture with Ajay will again be a comic-caper and, if things fall into place, it could also be a sequel to ‘Son Of Sardaar’.
“We (Ajay and I) are doing a film together. It will be a comedy like Son of Sardaar. Maybe it will be a Son of Sardaar 2. All I can confirm is that it will be about a Sardaar. It will be a fun family film,” Dhir told a popular tabloid.
If all goes well, the yet-to-be-titled will mount the shooting floor in the second half of 2018. Dhir is keen to lock Diwali 2019 to release his film. “As we start in November-December, it will take six-seven months to complete, so maybe a Diwali release. But I am not sure about it. The release date part I leave it for Ajay to decide. He himself is a producer so he will take a call,” the directed added.
