After the super success of their last production ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, Junglee Pictures is coming up with a new coming-of-age movie, titled ‘Badhaai Ho’. The film, which mounted the shooting floor in January this year, has just wrapped up its final shooting schedule within a record time of 50 days. The movie brings together actors Ayushmann Khurrana and ‘Dangal’ (2016) fame Sanya Malhotra for the very first time.
Noted film and trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Thursday took to Twitter to announce the completion of the film’s shooting along with sharing a picture of Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, and director Amit Sharma. He captioned his tweet as, “Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra… It’s a wrap for #BadhaaiHo… Directed by Amit Sharma… #JungleePictures #ChromePictures.”
‘Badhaai Ho’ also marks Ayushmann Khurrana’s second collaboration with Junglee Pictures after ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’. Talking about the film, Ayushmann had earlier told a leading daily, “I had a fantastic experience collaborating with Junglee Pictures for ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and working with them on ‘Badhaai H is going to be exciting. The story that Amit tells is typically Indian with dollops of quirky humour. I look forward to a family film that is innovative and entertaining.”
Produced by Junglee Pictures and Chrome Pictures, ‘Badhaai Ho’ is being helmed by Amit Sharma who had earlier directed the Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Tevar’ (2015).
The film might release in the second half of 2018.
Besides ‘Badhaai Ho’, Ayushmann Khurana will also be seen in Sriram Raghvan’s ‘Shoot The Piano Player’. Sanya Malhotra, on the other hand, is rumored to be collaborating with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj on the upcoming film ‘Churiyan’.
