Superstar Sanjay Dutt, who was last seen in his comeback film ‘Bhoomi’ (2017), has signed a new comedy film, titled ‘Blockbuster’. The movie is being bankrolled by Sandeep Singh, who co-produced ‘Bhoomi’ in association with Bhushan Kumar and Omung Kumar. As of now, only Dutt has been confirmed for ‘Blockbuster’. The rest of the star cast and the director will be finalized in a couple of weeks.

Sharing the news on Twitter, popular film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh wrote, “#NewsAlert: Sanjay Dutt is back in his comic avatar… Will star in Sandeep Singh’s next film, titled #Blockbuster… An ensemble multi-starrer… Goes on floors soon.”

Sanjay Dutt has previously starred in many blockbuster comedy films, some of them being ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’ (2003), ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ (2006), ‘Dhamaal’ (2007), ‘Double Dhamaal’ (2011) and ‘Son Of Sardar’ (2012). The audience has always loved the star whenever he tried to tickle their funny bones with his films. Though not many details are out about ‘Blockbuster’, we are sure that if a competent director helms the project, it will create the same magic his previous comic capers have done in the past at the box office.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt is currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Torbaaz’, which stars Nargis Fakhri opposite him. Apart from ‘Torbaaz’, the actor has over half a dozen films in his hand, including ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3, ‘Panipat’ and an untitled film with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, which will be helmed by Abhishek Verman.
