According to reports, director Abhishek Kapoor and producers Prenaa Arora and Arjun N Singh of KriArj Entertainment have decided to make peace and revive their much-talked-about project ‘Kedarnath’ which had hit the roadblock a couple of months back due to the ugly fallout between Abhishek Kapoor and co-producer Prernaa Arora. Fresh reports suggest that the venture will go back on floors again in the first week of April.
“After the dust settled down, both Abhishek and the producers realized they were personally invested in the film and did not want to hamper it in any way. Both parties sat down and resolved their issues. The case filed against Abhishek by Prernaa has been withdrawn as well,” reveals a source.
Based on the catastrophic floods of June 2013 in Uttarakhand, ‘Kedarnath’ is a highly anticipated film as it marks the acting debut of popular actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter, Sara Ali Khan. Besides Sara, the film also stars talented Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role.
With both the warring parties burying the hatchet, filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor is set to resume the shoot as soon as Sushant returns to Mumbai from Chambal where he is currently shooting for his next movie ‘Son Chiriya’. “Sushant is currently shooting for ‘Son Chiriya’, but he returns to the city by the end of this month. The team will resume ‘Kedarnath’ shoot on April 4 in Film City. An elaborate set has been erected for the movie. It will be a 20-day-long schedule following which the team will move to a new location for the last leg,” adds the source.
‘Kedarnath’ is being presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, KriArj Entertainment and T-Series. The film is scheduled for its theatrical release on 23rdNovember 2018.
