Popular actor Narendra Jha, who won raves for his sterling performances in a series of movies both in Hindi and regional languages, breathed his last on Wednesday morning. Aged 55, the talented actor lost his life to a massive cardiac arrest at his Wada farmhouse near Mumbai. This was the third heart attack that the actor had suffered. His family was with him during his last time.
Confirming his untimely demise, a source close to him informed, “Jha passed away at his farmhouse in Wada this morning at about 5 AM. He suffered a massive heart attack. This was the third heart attack that he has had over the years.”
Born in Madhubani, Bihar, Jha kicked off his acting career with the path-breaking television series ‘Shanti’ and entered Bollywood in 2003 with the movie ‘Funtoosh’. Though his debut film did not fare well at the ticket counter, the actor received decent reviews for his performance in it. After ‘Fantoosh’ Narendra acted in a number of critically and commercially successful films like ‘Haider’ (2014), ‘Ghayal Once Again’ (2016), ‘Raees’ (2017) and ‘Kaabil’ (2017) and made her own identity in showbiz. The actor was currently working on the forthcoming action entertainer ‘Saaho’, starring Baahubali fame Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor.
As soon as the news of his demise spread, many of his co-stars and friends took to Twitter to express their shock and condolences. “That’s so sad. He was a lovely human being. May his soul rest in peace,” tweeted Sonu Sood. Expressing disbelief, filmmaker Hansal Mehta wrote, “What a shocker! Narendra Jha? This profession is truly a killer.”
The actor’s last rites will be performed in Wada.
