Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who began his Bollywood journey with Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year’ (2012), is going through a lean phase as far as his professional life is concerned. After a string of unsuccessful films at the box office, his stardom has taken a beating in showbiz. The actor had a lot of expectations from his latest release ‘Aiyaary’ (2018), but the film sank at the cash counters without a trace despite being helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Neeraj Pandey.
After the terrible performance of ‘Aiyaary’, we hear that many filmmakers have started maintaining some distance from Sidharth. But if a fresh piece of information is to be believed, there are still many directors who have faith in the actor’s talent, one of them being Anees Bazmee.
According to sources, Anees Bazmee, who last directed ‘Mubarkan’ (2017) starting Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, has offered Sidharth a new film. The actor might start shooting for this untitled movie right after completing his current project which is based on the martyred Kargil captain, Vikram Batra. “I am definitely doing Vikram Batra’s biopic this year and I am also doing a college film, which is yet to be titled, Malhotra had earlier said.
The last clean hit of Sidharth Malhotra was ‘Ek Villain’ which released in 2014. Since then the actor has not delivered an out and out money spinner. We hope his next releases changes his fortune for better.
